If you are looking to travel in the States or travel around the world, besides needing time to vacation, you also need a budget. While traveling can be expensive, here are some tips on making it affordable.
Hostels
Stay at a hostel to save the most amount of money on lodging. Many hostels are less than $20 per night and they usually provide safe and comfortable accommodations. It is also a great way to meet other travelers. You don’t want to be all alone in a hotel room. Hostels are fun and have lots of energy.
Eat food from supermarkets
You can save lots of money by eating food that you prepare yourself. Many hostels have kitchens where you can prepare and cook food you buy from the supermarket. This way you can save a boatload of money over normal restaurant fees.
Travel by Low Cost Airline
Believe it or not, you can save over train fares and get to your destination sooner by traveling on low cost airlines. There are many low cost airlines that usually cost less than $50 per flight, this is usually very cost effective when compared with trains.
If you are looking to travel, but are on a tight budget, check out the above tips.
