If you are having difficulties with your spouse because he or she constantly does things which make you livid, here are some tips that can help make living together a little more bearable

Most people when they see something that bothers them, they immediately voice their concerns either by yelling at the other person or by nagging. Many people are now trying instead to take the opposite approach. Ignore the bad and praise the good. If your husband leaves his dirty clothes on the floor all the time, don’t say anything to him, actually ignore it. However if he puts his clothes into the hamper run over to him give him a big smile and a kiss and tell him thank you for putting the clothes away.

Your husband will probably learn fairly quickly that putting his clothes into the hamper is the right thing to do and will result in positive praise. Many men don’t want to be yelled at or constantly nagged at, it is important to praise a good behavior, this will help reinforce the behavior and that is ultimately what any spouse wants. If you are having difficulties in your relationship, try something new, ignore bad behavior and reinforce good behavior.
