Don’t Lie on Your Profile

It is with your interests in mind that we bring this article. We hope that you find some use for this information.

Don’t Lie on Your Profile » relationships

One of the mistakes many people make is that they lie or fudge their online dating profiles. Like the old saying goes, you’re only hurting yourself. If you are trying to find that special someone, there is no reason to lie.

Many people fudge their stats on their online dating service profile. Many men in particular will state that they make much more money or that they are an occupation that they are not. Because the internet is more anonymous than the real world, many men in particular think they can get by with some false stats to look much more attractive to females.

Besides men fudging their profile or stats, many women also do not state the entire truth. For instance, age might be a big factor. Some women tend to try to pass for a few years younger, especially if it puts them under a certain cut off, such as 30 or under. Another place where fudging might occur is weight. While most women aren’t too concerned with leaving their weight blank, many women will try to make their weight much more attractive than what they weigh in person. While white lies do plague online dating services, if you want to find a person that likes you for who you are, keep it honest.
