Sub Woofers
Whenever we think of reading more about something, we turn to the Internet to learn more about it. And that is why we have this report here.
Sub woofers are an extremely integral part of a home theater system. Sub woofers produce the very low parts of an audio track including explosions, drums and vehicles. Without sub woofers, most movies wouldn’t have any punch and music would sound tinny, just like a 1960’s transistor radio.
Sub woofers usually come in small box type cases measuring about a foot cubed or smaller. Many sub woofers usually have a driver that creates the sound ranging from about 8 inches all the way up to 15 inches for monster sub woofers. The larger the driver, usually the deeper the bass. Sub woofers are usually encased in wood or laminates and point downwards.
The beauty about sub woofers is that low frequencies are omni directional, which means a sub woofer can be placed anywhere in the room to create low, deep sound. Most people choose to place their sub woofer near solid objects, usually close to walls to give a more bassy feel and allow the sound waves to resonate off the wall. However, most people find that a subwoofer either touching the wall or only an inch or two away from the wall can cause rattling and an unpleasant sound experience. If you are looking for the ultimate in thunderous sounds and explosion, subwoofers fill this need perfectly.
