Treat Dry Skin » health

One of the most frustrating things to deal with regarding beauty is dry skin. Whether it is dandruff or scaly skin on your hands or face, dry skin can be embarrassing. Here are some easy tips to keep your skin moist and looking great.

One of the most important things you can do to keep your skin from becoming dry, old and wrinkled looking is to drink lots of water each day. Most health professionals state that drinking 8 – 8 oz. glasses of water each day will keep your body, including your skin well hydrated. Having hydrated skin will make it easier to see your skin shine and glow.

Use skin lotions. Obviously one of the best ways to reduce dry skin is to use an assortment of skin lotions. Many skin lotions include special vitamins such as vitamin A and vitamin E to keep your skin looking great and have elasticity so that it doesn’t easily wrinkle.

Exfoliating your skin is also important. Exfoliating is removing dry, dead skin on a regular basis. While a gentle exfoliater such as soap and slightly coarse brush can remove most of your dead skin, chemical peels are also popular. Chemical peels exfoliate your dead skin a couple of layers deep so that your new, tight skin can easily show, making your face look young and healthy.
