Geranium

Whenever we think of reading more about something, we turn to the Internet to learn more about it. And that is why we have this report here.

Geranium » gardening

Geraniums are originally from South Africa and come in many colors and many sizes. The most common colors include white, red, and purple. These flowers can vary in size measuring only a few inches in length to over a few feet. The Geranium comes in many varieties, some are perennials, and others grown in much colder climates are usually only annuals.

Geraniums can be scented or unscented; they can be cut or planted in a yard and even used as a shrub. They are incredibly easy to maintain and usually are very independent, needing very light care. These plants do well in full sun, however you can plant them in semi shade and they will fare very well. The Geranium should be well drained and the soil should be medium rich.

The best environments for these flowers are places with dry days, lots of sun and cool nights. Many gardeners grow them in planters and then transfer them to the garden once the final frost has come. They can grow unevenly for the first few weeks, but will settle down and grow well after that. They are aesthetically pleasing and great for many homeowners that do not have the time to do lots of maintenance on their plants.
