Chrysanthemum » gardening

Chrysanthemums are one of the more popular flowers. They come in many different shapes and lots of great colors. Two common forms are the upright and mound form. Besides being great in the garden, they do well in pots and planters. They are also very beautiful in cut form. They have a delicate scent and accent other flowers.

One of the many strengths of this flower is that the Chrysanthemum is a late bloomer. This flower usually blooms late in the summer and can bloom as late as early winter. While most other flowers are done with their blooms, these flowers bring lots of life and color to the garden or pot.

These flowers can be in either annual or perennial form. They do well in many different climates, however they grow best in the full sun. Soil can be acidic or ph neutral. Soil should be drained reasonably well and can be composted.

These flowers are usually easy to maintain and because of the many different colors and forms can be mixed and matched to bring life to any garden or home. If you are looking for a great flower to plant in the yard or to grown in order to cut and place in a vase, choose the Chrysanthemum.
