With progressive scan technology, every 30th of a second the entire frame is refreshed giving you a much better image and all together cleaner picture.
Progressive scan DVD players have become common place and are relatively affordable. You can find high quality progressive scan DVD player for less than $100 or as much as $300. It is important to note that since a standard TV set can not play progressive signals (standard TV’s are interlaced only), a progressive scan DVD player will not work with a standard TV in progressive mode, however you can still use the DVD player to play an interlaced copy of the DVD.
