One of the newer tech gadgets to come on the market as of late is Microsoft’s answer to the Apple iPod. The Zune is the Microsoft portable MP3 player that comes equipped with a large LCD screen that can also play videos, TV shows and show digital photos. It is also an mp3 player that is made to work well with Microsoft’s DRM (digital rights management); play for sure. The Microsoft Zune also has wifi technology, which means you can “squirt” mp3 files from one Zune player to another in less than 15 seconds. Zune also comes with huge amounts of storage, similar to that of the IPod.
While the Zune is not as fashionable, it might be a winner in the long run. Many people like the fact that the Zune has wifi capability and the Zune does play most types of media files. However, time will tell, if Microsoft can steal away market share from the leader in the MP3 player arena.
