Many animals are extremely scared and accidents have occurred where animals have passed away on board. It is important to talk to a number of airlines on how they transport animals. Many web sites also offer advice on how to properly prepare your pet for air travel as well taking into account current airlines procedures, complaint levels and transportation holds. For most people, transporting your pet on an airplane is safe and effective, however if you can make a trip via land, it is usually the better option.
