The Toy Poodle is a delightful, elegant and intelligent dog. They make great companions and house pets. Besides being so elegant and refined, these dogs offer its owner lots of loyalty, affection and fun. The Toy Poodle usually is up to 10 inches in height and about 6 to 9 pounds in weight.
These dogs usually have curly hair that come in a variety of colors including white, black, blue, tan, red, etc. They have a squarish frame and usually the tail is docked. The nose and eyes are black.
The Toy Poodle is very intelligent and can be trained very easily. In fact, they are very curious and enjoy lots of interaction. They are great with children, other dogs and even non canine pets. They usually have either a laid back personality or can be slightly hyper depending on the dog. They are generally a hardy breed and are very healthy. Make sure your breeder is reputable and you should have no problems. While perfect for the apartment, they should receive plenty of exercise or activity. They enjoy walks in the park and playing with the owner or family. Their life expectancy is about 10 to 12 years old.
