Miniature Pinscher » dogs

The Miniature Pinscher is a spunky compact dog that is much bigger in personality than in size. The Miniature pinscher is small, lean dog, which is built compactly. The coat is very short and shiny. The coat colors come in hues of black and tan or chocolate. They have small oval eyes, a black nose and a scissor bite. Most pinschers are about 10 to 12 inches in height and weigh about 10 pounds.

These dogs are very intelligent, full of energy and big in the personality department. They require obedience training or they will run amok. They are known to be little terrors and very headstrong. They do well with other dogs, pets and even children. They love to learn and it is a good idea to socialize them with other dogs at an early age.

These dogs are usually very healthy and many people even consider them a hardy breed. They are great for apartment life, but need plenty of activity or at least attention. While a small yard is perfect for them, a walk in the park a couple of times per week will satisfy them. Most Miniature Pinschers usually have a life expectancy of over 15 years old.
