Italian Greyhound

Whenever we think of reading more about something, we turn to the Internet to learn more about it. And that is why we have this report here.

Italian Greyhound » dogs

Italian Greyhounds are bred for speed; however they are incredibly intelligent, gentle dogs which many dog owners find fascinating. While most Greyhounds are built for professional racing, many are destroyed once their careers are over. Since awareness has been raised about these dogs, many people have chosen to adopt these fine dogs.

These dogs are extremely agile, athletic and trim. They are very strong and alert, they have beautiful eyes and come in several colors. While these dogs are extremely beautiful, they are primarily bred for speed and not for their looks. These dogs are famous for being the fastest of any breed and can reach speeds of over 40 mph. They enjoy warmer weather and don’t do well in colder climates.

These dogs are very gentle and affectionate. They make great pets for adults and considerate children. They do not like rough play and need plenty of exercise. They usually require a large back yard and a routine to keep them happy. When walked in a park, they should be on a leash; they are usually trained to give chase to small animals. While they are good at jogging, they shouldn’t jog for long periods of time, walking is usually the best way for them to get their exercise.
