Canary Dog » dogs

Don’t let the name fool you, the Canary dog is a dog that should not be reckoned with. This dog is not soft or small like a bird. In fact, it resembles a Pit Bull. These dogs are strong, well sculpted, muscular and have big bones. They are very strong and very dominant. They come in many colors and are usually large in size, weighing over 80 to over 100 pounds and being as tall as 25 inches.

The Canary Dog is primarily bred as a guard dog and they are very intimidating. They are not for the family or a person that is new to dogs. These dogs are extremely dominant and need a strong and willful owner.

These dogs can be snappish with other dogs, are not good with children and don’t go well with other animals. They need to be trained at an early age and socialized. In the wrong hands, this dog can be dangerous. The best environment for these dogs is a medium to large yard. They are too active to live in an apartment. They need a daily regiment and lots of activity. While not for family life, if you are looking for a strong, fierce guard dog, these dogs definitely fit the bill.
