The American Cocker Spaniel is an extremely cuddly looking dog that is usually about 12 to 15 inches in height and weighs about 20 to 25 pounds. The color of their coat is usually white, black, brown or a mix. Their coat is long and flowing and their heads are usually domed shaped with dark, brown eyes. While Cocker Spaniels were originally bred for hunting, a long coat is usually not very functional for this task, it will normally get caught on the brush.
