Dating someone at work is a great way to find a quality person with a similar education, career goals and interests. Many people find others at work to date because of the close proximity. The vast majority of people that date at work are generally happy with the parameters that they can see one another in a work environment.
For long term relationships, it generally works well, while you might think that if both people are employed at the same company and that company goes out of business they will be in a bad situation, but since most people only stay with a company for a few years at a time it is not as catastrophic as it seems.
