One of the easiest ways to boost your laptops or desktops computer performance is to install more RAM. RAM stands for random access memory and the more RAM you have the easy it is for your computer to run applications quickly and handle multi tasking. Adding more RAM is actually an easy process and you can usually add RAM in about 15 minutes.
Before you buy RAM, check your computer’s instruction manual. Many times the instruction manual will have a guide on how to upgrade or install RAM. Check your computer’s documentation to determine what type of RAM you have and how many slots you have open. Many computers have about two slots for RAM. You will usually have one slot available, if not, you will have to remove a RAM chip and replace it with a larger amount of RAM.
Upgrading or installing your RAM, is pretty simple, just open up the unit’s case and locate the RAM modules. If you need to remove an older RAM module, just unlock its clips and slide the RAM module out of its slot. Then you just need to slide in the new RAM module into the slot, lock the slot, put the cover back on and reboot your computer.
